La Casa de Manuela (Manuela’s House) is an excellent, fully refurbished 118 m2 home. It is located near the popular food market, in the Libertad neighbourhood, which represents the essence of the Cádiz carnival and is just 10 minutes from the beach.
The flat boasts a living and dining room with plenty of natural light; a stylish fully-equipped kitchen; and four bedrooms decorated with fresh, natural colours. There is one room with a double bed and three rooms with truckle beds. There are two bathrooms with showers that feature pure, simple colours and design.
The flat is on a second floor, and although the building isn’t provided with a lift, the stairs are very comfortable to climb. There is a communal rooftop terrace from which guests can enjoy beautiful views of the city.
Cádiz is ideal to visit on foot. Its neighbourhoods and narrow streets are full of fascinating history.
We highly recommend:
The Falla theatre hall, a fine example of Neo-Mudéjar architecture that honours one of Spain’s greatest musicians and is the heart of Cádiz culture.
The Genovés park, the Old Town’s largest green area. The park boasts many interesting plant species from all over the world, such as the dragon tree.
Taking a stroll to the Alameda Apodaca and visiting the old walls and bastions that protected the city.
The Caleta beach located between the San Sebastián castles and Santa Catalina.
Tasting some of the local specialities and visiting the food market (Mercado de Abastos), where one can buy fantastic fresh seafood, as well as meat, fruit and vegetables.
Things to bear in mind:
Pets and parties are not allowed.
There is a public car park and public transport bus services just 5 minutes on foot from the house.
